About this Workshop:
In this workshop participants will learn the ins and outs of doubleweave. We will be weaving a round robin of 5 samples on looms set up for you in advance. We will be using both 4 and 8 shaft looms.
During the workshop, participants will create 5 samples to take home.

Double-width doubleweave mini blanket

Mini-pillow

Layer switching tube sampler

Double sided grid pattern (mini sunroom throw blanket- 8 shaft)

Deflected doubleweave on 4 shafts sampler
We will be covering the following techniques:

How to choose fibers for warp and weft

The basics of how to read a doubleweave draft (pattern)

How to weave several different styles of doubleweave
-
Tips and tricks to weave well
-
How to fix common problems
-
How to complete your project when the cloth is off the loom
