About this Workshop: Great for both new and experienced weavers, this workshop is for texture lovers!

These 100% Canadian wool pillows are proof that texture can make a simple design stunning. The example in the photo is made using local wool dyed with onion skins. You are welcome to use the same for your pillow, or choose from any of our wool colours! These handwoven covers can be made to fit any interior design scheme. Your warp is a blank canvas for these pillows. You are free to wander around all the different textures on our studio wall exploring options and coming up with a combination that is quintessentially you. The back will be made with an envelope style closure so you can wash your pillow as needed.

Fun to weave, versatile, and a great way to practice sewing with handwoven fabric!

Finished dimensions: approx 22" x 22"

• An introduction to weaving on a floor loom
• How to weave with wool
• Tips and tricks for nice edges (selvedges)
• Free-form design tips and tricks 
• Simple design alterations
• How to sew your pillow

• Pillow form included
• Participants will weave on pre-dressed studio looms

Experience: Beginners and new weavers welcome! No experience required.
