About Northern Range Wool

Northern Range Wool is a weaving yarn designed for both quality and versatility. This 100% pure new wool is made in Canada, offering a perfect balance of softness, strength, and durability for your weaving projects. We specifically recommend NRW for rug weaving and tapestry because of its grist, ability to be packed snug in the weft, and colour range.

  • Easy to Use: Weaves large projects quickly due to 2 ply worsted weight, has great 'grip' which makes keeping an even beat easier, especially for beginners.
  • Versatile Use: Low stretch allows tapestry weavers to keep even edges, a favorite yarn for punch needle and latch hooking, fantastic for rugs.
  • Great Finishing: Fulls nicely when washed.
