Overshot Sampler/ Hanging Pattern
This crisp, classic design lets you learn overshot while creating a beautiful piece of art for your wall. Each pattern section uses a different star or rose treadling variation, creating intricate design options from a single treadling. We’re also playing with fibre and texture here: the smooth linen of the warp contrasts with fluffy clouds of pattern, with a fine cotton tabby providing density and drape.
This pattern requires a four shaft loom.Â
You’ll need a reed at least 16” wide that is ideally 10 or 12 dents per inch.
